- Never Mount the Security Camera on a Metal

Metals attract lightning and hence, to protect the cameras you should always avoid keeping CCTV units near metallic units.
- Make Sure Your CCTV is Grounded Correctly

- Use a Surge Protector
A surge protector is a great way to protect your DVR in case the power does get through.
